Call for Abstracts and Seminar Proposals for September 2010 World Water Week The 2010 World Water Week in Stockholm, September 5-11, is now making its 1st Announcement, calling for workshop abstracts and proposals from organisations to convene a seminar or side event in 2010. The Announcement provides information on the theme, structure, and special focus on Water Quality. Bridging the Water and Climate Agenda at COP-15 SIWI is taking part in a number of activities at COP-15. On Wednesday December 16, SIWI and the Co-operative Programme on Water and Climate, World Water Council (WWC), International Water Association (IWA), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will hold on “ Water and Climate – From Dialogue to Action ” to discuss the principles, including follow-up actions on climate information, planning, building with nature and capacity development. New Research from SIWI and Swedish Water House SIWI recently introduced two new reports: Getting Transboundary Water Right: Theory and Practice for Effective Cooperation Drainage Basin Security – Prospects for Trade-offs and Benefit Sharing in a Globalised World.

Advanced Training in IWRM The International Training Programme in Integrated Water Resource Management offers advanced training on international, national and local IWRM tools and approaches that can be applied in practice. Mid-career professionals are sought from selected countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East/North, Africa, Europe and Central Asia. Full-time interactive training takes place in Sweden from August 23 – September 14, 2010 and in Lao PDR November 22 – December 3, 2010.
